FUSO Recalls

2023–2025 FUSO eCanter FEAV, FEB7, FEBV, FECX

Due to a manufacturing defect, the Electric Parking Brake (EPB) may not operate as intended and could remain partially engaged whilst driving. If this occurs, it could overheat leading to a vehicle fire.   Note: If this occurs, EPB warning lights (orange) alert will illuminate on the instrument cluster.

2020–2024 FUSO ROSA and CANTER

Due to a manufacturing defect, the sockets fitted to the turn signal lamps in the front headlight assembly may overheat and melt. If this occurs, the turn signal indicators may not operate as intended.

Due to a software issue with the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) the vehicle may enter fail-safe mode. This may result in incorrect operation of lighting systems such as front and rear lamps and licence plate illumination. Additionally, the engine start/stop function and wipers may not operate as intended.

2023 FUSO FIGHTER AND SHOGUN FN62FK6RFAM, FN62FR2RFAM, FN64FU2RFAK, FN64FU2RFAM, FU74GU1VFAA, FV74GU1VFAA

Due to a manufacturing defect, the propeller shaft balance plate may not have been welded to the required specifications and could detach from the vehicle whilst driving.

2024 FUSO BE741JRMBFAB, BE741JRMDFAB & BE741GRMDFAB

Due to a manufacturing issue within the Body Control Module, the vehicle headlights, tail lamps, license plate lamps, brake lamps, and wipers may not operate as intended. This may also result in loss of motive power.

2017–2023 FUSO FIGHTER AND HEAVY FM65FH, FM65FM, FM65FS, FM67FM, FM67FS, FN62FK, FN63FU, FN64FU, FP54SG, FS52SS, FS54SS, FV51SK, FV54SJ, FV54SK, FV54ST

Due to manufacturing defect, the turn signal indicator lamps may not operate as intended when the lever on the combination switch is activated. In addition, the instrument cluster indicator lamps may not illuminate.

2019–2022 FUSO SHOGUN FV7,FP7,FU7 & FS7

The alternator wiring harness may have been assembled with insufficient clearance and could become damaged. If this occurs, the Transmission Control Module (TCM) may not operate as intended and the driver unable to change gears leading to a loss of motive power whilst driving.

2021–2022 FUSO Canter FEA21, FEA61,FEB21, FEB51, FEB71, FEB91, FEC71, FEC81, FECX1

Due to a manufacturing defect, the material of the reversing lamp gasket switch may swell. As a result, the brake lights and the reversing audible warning may not operate as intended.

2024 FUSO SHOGUN FV70, FV74 and FS76

The propeller shaft balance weight may not have been welded to the required specifications and could detach. If this occurs, it may lead to vibration in the propeller shaft, causing abnormal noise and a loss of motive power whilst driving.

2020–2023 FUSO UG ROSA BE741

The brake lamp switch assembly may have been installed incorrectly, if the hill starting assist device (EZGO) is activated, there may be a large time lag until the brake lamp lights illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed. In addition, the Collision Damage Mitigation Brake (AEBS) and Vehicle Behaviour Stabilisation System (ASR) may stop functioning and relevant warning lamps may illuminate.

2021–2022 FUSO SHOGUN FP7, FS7, FU7, and FV7

The power distribution module wiring harness may have been connected incorrectly to the positive and negative fuse and relay box terminals. As a result, a mounting bracket could interfere with the wiring, causing the power distribution module to short circuit. This may result in a vehicle fire.

2013–2019 FUSO Heavy Duty Bus (HDB0 MP35 and MP37

Due to incorrect installation, the power distribution box wiring harness may contact and chafe against the air conditioner control unit. This may lead to an electrical short circuit and result in a vehicle fire.

2019–2022 FUSO Fighter and Shogun FK6, FM6, FN6, FS7, FV7

The tool to mechanically open the spring-loaded parking brake chamber was not supplied with the vehicle.

2019–2021 FUSO Shogun FP7, FS7, FU7, FV7

Due to manufacturing defect, the parking brake lamp on the meter cluster may illuminate when the parking brake lever is released and the vehicle is in motion. This may cause the EZGO and the hill holder to not operate as intended.

2022 FUSO FIGHTER AND SHOGUN FK62, FK65, FM67, FN62, FN64, FS76, FU74, FV70, FV74

Due to a manufacturing issue, the cab mounting brackets have not been tightened to the designated torque. This could cause the cab lock down mechanism to become loose.

2021–2022 FUSO Shogun FP74, FS72, FS76, FV70, FV74

Due to a manufacturing issue, the vehicle type approval labelling required to be displayed on the engine was not fixed to the vehicle.

2022 FUSO ROSA BUS BE741

Due to a component defect on the front side doors of the vehicle, continued use may damage the latch and the front side doors may not open as intended.

2022 FUSO CANTER FEA61, FEB51

Due to a manufacturing defect, the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) ring may not be securely fitted to the ABS rotor. This may result in the ABS rotor dislodging. A dislodged ABS rotor will cause ABS system faults and possible brake failure.

2019–2021 FUSO SHOGUN FS75

Due to a manufacturing defect in the vehicle’s trailer connection electrical components, the trailer stop lamps may not operate as intended. This could result in road users being unable to identify when the vehicle is braking. Additionally, any flammable material kept near the electrical components may result in a vehicle fire.

2019 Fuso FK6, FM6 and FN6

Due to a software issue the rear stop lamps may not operate as intended. This could result in road users being unable to identify when the vehicle is braking.

2020 Fuso FK6, FM6, FN6, FP7, FS7 and FV7 FK61FH, FK61FK, FK61FL, FK62FH, FK62FK, FK62FL, FK65FL, FK65FM, FM65FH, FM65FM, FM65FS, FM67FM, FM67FS, FN62FK, FN62FR, FN64FU, FS74HS, FU74GU, FV74GU, FV74HJ, FV74HK

The steering column mounting bolts may not have been tightened sufficiently and could become loose or separate. This could result in a loss of steering.

2017–2020 FUSO LDT Canter FEA21 & FEB21

On some vehicles, it has been identified grease was not applied to the slide pins of the front wheel brake calipers. If the outer Brembo brake pad is continually used under the defect conditions, it cannot be fully returned after the brake operation and wear is accelerated. In worst case, the outer pad may detach from the vehicle.
