The primary drive gear tightening bolt may suffer a fatigue failure, causing the pulse rotor to drop off. If this occurs, it could lead to the ignition signal to fail, resulting in an engine stall.

Due to the piping design, which was changed from 2008 model onwards, the rear brake reservoir hose is able to repeatedly contact the speed sensor guide and a sharp edge on the rear swingarm during normal suspension operation. This can cause the hose to become damaged and, if left unattended, finally penetrate the outer casing of the hose, allowing fluid to leak.

During battery positive cable installation, some battery cables interfere with the battery box holders in an area not protected by insulation, allowing the positive battery cable coating to be worn through. As a result, this may cause a short circuit of the battery cable resulting in melting, smoking and, in the worst case, possibly fire.
