2025 MINI Cooper S, Cooper C, Countryman, JCW, & JCW Countryman

Due to a manufacturing defect, the front passenger and/or driver seatbelts may not meet the required specifications. As a result, the seatbelt(s) may not operate as intended in the event of an accident.

2024 MINI U25 Countryman, F66 Cooper S

Due to a manufacturing defect, a component of the brake booster system may have been incorrectly welded and could break. If this occurs, a higher pedal force will be required and the braking distance may be extended. In addition, the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) systems may not function. Note: Drivers will be alerted by the brake warning light in the instrument cluster and a message will appear on the central display.

2020–2023 MINI MINI Cooper SE

The high-voltage battery management software has insufficient protections for short circuit events. As a result, if a short circuit occurs it could lead to a vehicle fire whilst driving or parked.

2021–2022 MINI Cooper S

Due to a manufacturing defect, the high-voltage battery housing in affected vehicles have an insulation fault. This may cause the vehicle's battery to turn off when driving resulting in a loss of motive power and, in the event of water ingress a vehicle fire.   Note: the following message will appear on the central display, "You can continue driving. High-voltage system. In order to avoid subsequent damage, have the issue checked by the Service Partner".

2020–2022 MINI Cooper S

Due to a manufacturing defect, the sealing of the high-voltage battery housing may be insufficient, allowing moisture to enter into the battery compartment. This may cause the vehicle's battery to turn off when driving resulting in a loss of motive power and/or vehicle fire. Note: the following message will appear on the central display, "You can continue driving. High-voltage system. In order to avoid subsequent damage, have the issue checked by the Service Partner".

2016–2018 MINI COUNTRYMAN

The fault affects the crash protection plate of the high pressure fuel pump in the engine compartment. Due to an error in the releasing process in an engine production plant, a crash protection plate for the high pressure fuel pump was not installed in 3-cylinder petrol engines (B36/B38).
