2024–2025 SKODA Kodiaq

Due to a manufacturing defect, the inner frame edge of the front seats may have been produced with improperly finished surfaces. As a result, the frame edge could damage the side airbags during deployment.

2020–2024 SKODA Superb, Octavia

Due to a manufacturing issue, the heat shield between the brake master cylinder and the exhaust may have been incorrectly fitted. As a result, a connection to the brake fluid reservoir could melt. If this occurs, brake fluid may leak and cause a reduction in braking performance and/or if brake fluid leaks on to a hot exhaust there is a risk of a vehicle fire.

2022 SKODA Fabia

Due to a manufacturing issue, the front passenger airbag inflator may catch on the dash panel and rupture in the event of airbag deployment.

2022 SKODA Octavia, Superb and Kodiaq

Due to manufacturing issue, the engine compartment cover may become loose. If this occurs the engine cover may move and touch the turbocharger resulting in smouldering damage or an engine bay fire.

2021 SKODA Fabia

Due to a manufacturing issue with the welding of the rear middle backrest frame there may be a reduction in the performance of the attached seat belt.

2015–2018 SKODA SUPERB II

The front turn signal may fail and the failure may not be detected, resulting in no warning lights or sounds being activated.

2008–2015 SKODA FABIA, OCTAVIA, RAPID, ROOMSTER, SUPERB, YETI

Due to a production fault, over time a crack in the transmissions pressure accumulator can occur.

In some instances, there is a risk that one or several fixing nuts may be missing from the individual rear passenger seat.

2017–2018 SKODA FABIA, KODIAQ, KAROQ, OCTAVIA, RAPID & SUPERB

In some instances, the front driver air bag may not inflate to its fullest capacity fast enough when required.

The gas generator of some front seat belt tensioners may have been incorrectly crimped onto the actuator pipe of the belt tensioner.

Variations in the mixture ratio of the propellant may prevent the belt tensioner from deploying in the event of an accident.

2007–2009 SKODA OCTAVIA

The thermal overload within the ABS control unit can interrupt the current flow to the ABS control unit. This would stop the ABS from functioning correctly and would illuminate the warning light on the dash.

0 SKODA OCTAVIA 111 & RAPID

The detent lever of the child lock can break because it was damaged during the production process. As a result of this an active child lock can unnoticeably be switched off. This may lead to the rear doors being operable from inside the vehicle.

0 SKODA SUPERB WAGON

The specified limits of the roll back function of the sunroof may be exceeded when closing using the remote key.

0 SKODA YETI

Due to a manufacturing fault the side airbags may deploy abnormally during an accident.

2008–2015 SKODA SKODA

The emissions levels may not meet the regulatory requirements when the affected vehicle is driven under normal conditions.

Due to electrolysis in the gearbox, the sulphur constituents in the synthetic oil can separate. These accumulations settle between the conductor paths of the electronics in the form of conductive particles and can therefore cause an electrical short circuit and the gearbox fuse could blow. Should this happen, the clutch will fully open due to power supply failure, causing the vehicle to roll to a stop if in motion.

2008–2011 SKODA Superb, Octavia

Due to electrolysis, the DSG 7-speed transmissions are susceptible to conductive deposits forming in the gearbox control units, possibly causing the gearbox fuse to blow. Should this happen, the clutch will fully open due to power supply failure, causing the vehicle to roll to a stop if in motion.

2008–2011 SKODA SUBURB, OCTAVIA
