2021–2023 TRIUMPH Bonneville T100, T100 Black, Bonneville T120 & T120 Black.

Due to a design defect an electrical connector within the alternator main wiring harness may develop a high resistance condition. This can cause excessive heat and lead to a loss of motive power whilst riding and/or a vehicle fire.

2024–2025 TRIUMPH Daytona 660 Daytona 660 (LAMS)

The dipstick provided with the vehicle may not meet manufacturing specifications. As a result, the level of engine oil may be too low to feed the main bearings in the engine.

2021–2024 TRIUMPH Street Scrambler, Street Twin and Bonneville Bonneville T100, Bonneville T120, Bonneville T120 Black, Scrambler 900, Speed Twin 900, Street Scrambler, Street Scrambler Sandstorm, Street Twin, Street Twin Goldline

Due to a manufacturing defect, the alternator wiring harness connector may short circuit and become damaged. If this occurs, it could lead to a thermal overload resulting in a vehicle fire.

2021–2024 TRIUMPH Speed Triple 1200 RS and Speed Triple 1200 RR

Due to a software issue, the radiator fan may exceed its maximum operating temperature limit leading to a malfunction of the coolant fan motor. If the rider ignores the instrument warning light and continues to operate the motorcycle, coolant fluid may leak.

2022 TRIUMPH Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660

Due to a manufacturing defect, the threaded cap fitted to the front suspension fork may strip and detach from the outer tube. This could cause the front suspension to become instable, and as a result, the rider may lose control of the motorcycle.

2019–2023 TRIUMPH Rocket 3 Rocket 3 GT Triple Black, Rocket 3 R Black ,Rocket 3 GT, Rocket 3 R, Rocket 3 TFC

The rear brake pedal may lose pressure due to air entering the rear brake system. As a result, it could lead to a loss of braking performance. Note: The front brakes will remain functional.

2020–2023 TRIUMPH Triumph Trident 660 and Tiger sport 660 Trident 660

Due to a manufacturing defect, the hose leading to the manifold air pressure sensor may become obstructed. This may lead to unstable idle and possible engine stall resulting in a loss of motive power.

2022–2023 TRIUMPH T120 and T120 Black

Due to a manufacturing defect, the brake disc may have been fitted incorrectly and could detach from the front wheel assembly. This could reduce the expected braking performance.

2021–2023 TRIUMPH Speed Triple RS and Speed Triple RR Speed Triple RS, Speed Triple RR

Due to a manufacturing defect the radiator fan can exceed its maximum temperature limit leading to a malfunction of the coolant fan motor. If the rider ignores the instrument warning light and continues to operate the motorcycle, coolant fluid may leak.

2021–2022 TRIUMPH Speed Triple RS and Speed Triple RR

Due to a manufacturer defect, the brake disc may have been fitted incorrectly and could become loose and interfere with other nearby components preventing the wheel from rotating freely. This could reduce the expected braking performance.

2021 TRIUMPH Trident 660

The motorcycle's side stand mounting bracket may become damaged over time. The side stand may fail when the motorcycle is parked.

2020–2021 TRIUMPH ROCKET 3

Air may be trapped in the rear brake system.

2018–2020 TRIUMPH TIGER, STREET TRIPLE, SPEED TRIPLE VARIANTS

The front brake pad may detach from the back plate, resulting in reduced braking performance.

2018–2020 TRIUMPH STREET SCRAMBLER

Misrouted harness wiring may become damaged by the lower lug on main frame headstock when the handlebars are rotated.

2020 TRIUMPH TIGER 900

The motorcycle’s rear reflex reflector may become loose or fall off.

2012–2017 TRIUMPH TROPHY

If not routed correctly, the wires exiting the ignition switch may be damaged by contact with the front brake hose.

2016–2019 TRIUMPH THRUXTON

The side stand spring may fracture whilst the side stand is disengaged.

2019–2020 TRIUMPH SPEED TWIN

The gear shift lever may become loose from the ball joint, resulting in excessive movement at the end of the shift lever.

2017–2019 TRIUMPH SPEED TRIPLE

The Quickshifter Assembly, TSA body may come into contact with the gear change Clamp Linkage Assembly, potentially impeding a smooth “assisted” gear change, resulting in a missed gear or false neutral.

2018–2019 TRIUMPH SPEED TWIN

The coolant hose between the radiator and expansion tank may have been misrouted during assembly. A misrouted hose may come into contact with the exhaust header pipe, potentially causing damage to the coolant hose.

2015–2019 TRIUMPH STREET SCRAMBLER, STREET TWIN, STREET CUP, BONNEVILLE T100, BONNEVILLE T120

The clutch cable may contact the main harness sheath, potentially causing damage to the wiring within the harness. If this condition occurs and remains undetected, it may lead to a loss of electrical power to various electrical circuits.

0 TRIUMPH STREET TRIPLE

The electrical circuits in the left-hand switch cube may not function correctly due to an incorrect seal. If water penetrates the seal, the turn signal indicator and headlamp control switches may not function correctly.

0 TRIUMPH VARIOUS MODELS

A correct Stationary Noise Data Label was not fitted in production (as required by Australian Design Rule ADR 83).

0 TRIUMPH THRUXTON

The engine management software on these Thruxton model motorcycles may not always prevent 'blip stalling'; the ability to maintain a stable engine idle when the throttle is opened and closed ('blipped') very quickly with the clutch disengaged.

0 TRIUMPH SPEED TRIPLE S & SPEED TRIPLE R

A bracket may interfere with the link lead, resulting in damage to the outer protective sheathing and over time potentially exposing the wire. Contact between the bracket and the exposed wire may lead to an electrical short.

0 TRIUMPH STREET CUP

The wires serving the hazard warning lamps may become damaged during normal steering action.

0 TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE

The air-gap between the end of the throttle twist grip rubber and the handlebar end weight on heated handlebar grips may be too small. This could cause the grip (when heated) to expand beyond its air-gap and make contact with the handle bar end weight. If this occurs, the throttle will no longer return as intended to its positive stop via spring force only, but will require some manual intervention to close the throttle.

0 TRIUMPH VARIOUS

The fuel tank sub-harness is used to supply electrical current from the motorcycle main wiring harness to the fuel pump located inside the fuel tank. This sub-harness passes through the fuel pump mounting plate. The compound used to seal two components has permitted fuel to pass between them, allowing fuel to travel along the wiring towards the main harness connector.

0 TRIUMPH STREET TWIN D-SERIES & BONNEVILLE T120

The motorcycles may have been installed with faulty fuel tank sub harnesses.

0 TRIUMPH Daytona and Speed Triple.

In some cases the piston-shaft nut has been incorrectly torqued, which may lead to a loss in damping control and a possible oil leak.

0 TRIUMPH TIGER

The side stand pivot bolts may fracture. This may cause the side stand to become unstable.

0 TRIUMPH Thunderbird, Bonneville, Rocket III, Thruxton and Tiger 800 Model Motorcycles

A possible malfunction of the solid state circuitry may occur, which in rare cases causes a fuel injector to malfunction, which in turn causes the engine to lose power.

0 TRIUMPH TIGER EXPLORER & TROPHY

A limited number of Triumph Tiger Explorer and Trophy model motorcycles require replacement of their Engine Control Module (ECM) due to electrical interference from the throttle position sensor. On rare occasions this may cause the engine ECM to enter a shutdown strategy which in turn cause the engine to lose power, resulting in a loss of driving force and momentum.

The motorcycles may require the addition of a centre stand bracket.

0 TRIUMPH STREET TRIPLE, STREET TRIPLE R, DAYTONA 675, DAYTONA 675R

The ABS modulator may be defective.

0 TRIUMPH STREET TRIPLE, ABS, R & R ABS

A limited number of Triumph mototcycles require the fitement of a throttle cable guide and for the throttle cables to be inspected and replaced if necessary.

0 TRIUMPH SPEED TRIPLE, , ABS, R, R ABS, SPRINT GT, ST, TIGER 1050 ABS

A limited number of Triumph motorcycles require the neutral switch washer and the detent arm spring to be replaced. The neutral light may remain illuminated when selecting various gears on the above models.

0 TRIUMPH STREET TRIPLE, R, ABS, R ABS, DAYTONA 675, 675 ABS, 675 R &

A limited number of Triumph mototcycles require the fitement of a throttle cable guide and for the throttle cables to be inspected and replaced if necessary.

0 TRIUMPH SPEED TRIPLE, & ABS, R, R ABS, SPRINT ST, GT TIGER 1050 ABS

Triumph have identified that the neutral light may remain illuminated when selecting various gears. This is due to the incorrect engagement of the neutral switch and gear selector drum.

A limited number of Triumph Tiger Sport motorcycles require the front brake hard lines to be inspected and possibly replaced.

0 TRIUMPH TIGER 800, SPEED TRIPLE III, STREET TRIPLE, DAYTONA 675 & TIGER

The indicator stems need to be replaced due to incorrect material composition causing the turn indicator stems to fracture after a short period of time.

0 TRIUMPH DAYTONA 675, STREET TRIPLE & THUNDERBIRD

A limited number of Daytona 675, Street Triple & Thunderbird motorcycles require the wheel bearings to be replaced.

It has been discovered that the dip stick is too long and therefore does not accurately show the correct oil level. The correct oil capacity has been added to each affected bike by the factory, but any dealer or customer checking the oil level using the dip stick will believe the engine had been incorrectly overfilled with oil. The dealer or customer would then drain oil from the engine to agree with the dip stick. Draining the oil will result in the engine operating below required oil levels

The drag link assembly fitted to the rear suspension on the Sprint ST (and ST with ABS fitted) motorcycles may have a potential problem

0 TRIUMPH Thruxton

Internal quality audits have identified a potential problem with the front brake caliper bracket retaining bolts. The installed bolts may be too short, reducing thread engagement of the bolts into the brake caliper bracket.

0 TRIUMPH 1050cc Street Triple

Factory feedback has indicated that a number of the Triumph Street Triple motorcycles have encountered the 'handlebar to clamp' movement.

A number of Triumph Street Triple motorcycles have encountered a reduction in performance of the Rear Suspension Unit with a loss of dampening action.

A number of Triumph Street Triple motorcycles have encountered a reduction in performance of the Rear Suspension Unit with a loss of dampening action.

A potential problem exists with restricted lateral movement of the sliding carriage of the fitted top rack, which could lead to reduced stability of the motorcycle if ridden at speeds in excess of 130km/h.

Engine poor/erratic idling quality and stalling. Recall is to download a revised calibration into the engine management systems as well as carry out a range of checks and adjustments.

A potential problem exists with the drag link to drop link bolt which could result in the bolt becoming bent or fractured.

A potential problem with the reara brake caliper carrier positioning stud (stop bolt) which could result in brake caliper carrier movement, thereby possibly causing damage to the rear swing arm.

The possibility exists for the male fuel line connectors (which connect the fuel feed and return hoses to the fuel pump mounting plate) to fracture, thereby possibly causing fuel to escape on to the engine or side of the motorcycle.

The electric power supply cable to the starter motor can come into contact with an oil cooler pipe (which could, in time, cause degradation of the insulation on the starter cable).

A potential exists that if any of these models of motocycles are accidentally dropped onto their left hand side, it is possible for air to enter the rear brake system via the brake fluid reservoir.

A potential exists for a square clip (which retains the clevis pin connecting the rear brake pedal to the master cylinder) to catch on the right hand control plate, thus possibly cause binding of the rear brakes and so compromising the stability of the motorbike.

Rear Luggage Rack Kits may have been released into the market with incorrect specification locknuts, which could cause the luggage racks to become loose and possibly cause vehicle instability.
