Defect

Due to improper welding of the connection for the diffuser and the gas generator in the passenger side airbag inflater, the diffuser can detach from the connection when the airbag deploys. If this occurs, the inflater will be unable to provide inflation.

Two vehicles involved. Both owners will be contacted by letter and by telephone.
