Defect

During the manufacture of two fuel pipes located on the engine's fuel delivery manifold, high stress areas may have been created in the pipes. Combined with other factors such as continual high fuel pressure pulsations and the presence of natural corrosive agents in the fuel a fracture may form over time.

Toyota Motor Corporation will contact all owners of affected vehicles individually by letter and telephone.
