Defect

Due to a manufacturing issue, an incorrectly routed power cable could contact a ground stud of the vehicle and short circuit. This may increase the risk of overheating and a vehicle fire.

Hazard

A vehicle fire may increase the risk of serious injury or death to vehicle occupants, bystanders and/or damage to property.

Remedy

Owners of affected vehicles should contact their preferred Western Star dealer to arrange to have the necessary rectification carried out and to have the parts ordered prior to your arrival, free of charge.
