Defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the driveshaft may break under load. If this occurs, it may lead to a sudden loss of motive power.

Hazard

A sudden loss of motive power whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to the vehicle occupants and/or other road users.

Remedy

Owners of affected vehicles should immediately contact their preferred Kia dealer to schedule an appointment to have the affected driveshaft replaced, free of charge.
