Defect

Due to a software issue, the passenger side folding door control unit may have been overwritten with incorrect parameters. As a result, if an obstacle is detected during automatic closing, the door will hold or stop and not reverse back to the fully open position as intended.

Hazard

If the folding door does not reverse as intended, it can increase the risk of serious injury to vehicle occupants.

Remedy

Owners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest authorised Daimler Truck dealership to schedule an appointment to have the software updated, free of charge.
