Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel pipe may chafe against the support bracket and become damaged. If this occurs fuel may leak, potentially resulting in loss of motive power whilst driving, and if in the presence of an external ignition source may result in a vehicle fire.

2023 NISSAN J12 Qashqai e-POWER

Due to incorrect Battery Management System (BMS) software calibration, the calculated battery state of charge may rapidly fluctuate. This may cause the vehicle to activate limp-home mode potentially resulting in a loss of motive power whilst driving and an inability to restart the engine.

2024 NISSAN F16 Juke

Due to a manufacturing issue, the front seat belt webbing material may have been damaged or lightly scored during assembly.

2022–2024 NISSAN J12 Qashqai ICE Variants

Due to a manufacturing defect, the wiring harness near the 12-volt battery may have been incorrectly assembled. As a result, the harness retaining nut can become loose and increase electrical resistance which may lead to a vehicle fire.

2022–2023 NISSAN Z34 Z

Due to a manufacturing issue, the wiring harness behind the front bumper may have been routed incorrectly. As a result, the pedestrian detection sensor may not function as intended.

2022–2023 NISSAN Z34 Z

Due to a manufacturing issue, the mounting screws on the left-hand side front bumper reinforcement bracket may not have been tightened sufficiently. As a result, the pedestrian detection sensor may not function as intended.

2021–2023 NISSAN D23 Navara

The internal circuit board of the winches remote control can corrode if exposed to water. If corrosion of the circuit board occurs, the winch can cause the cable to stop, wind up or release unexpectedly.

Due to a software issue, the Cruise Control function may not operate as intended and could cause unintentional acceleration when deactivated.

Due to improper programming of the Hybrid Powertrain Control Module (HPCM) the engine may stall resulting in a loss of motive power accompanied by a warning light on the instrument panel.

The fuel pump module may not have been manufactured properly and may bind internally, restricting or stopping fuel to the engine.

The front steering knuckle and/or rear axle housing may not meet design specification and may deform under pressure.

The child restraint system (CRS) top tethers may not be strong enough to keep a child seat securely fastened and may break during an accident.

2019–2020 NISSAN JUKE

The heat shield may not be in the proper position around the front driver airbag's inflator. When the airbag is triggered, hot gas may damage the airbag material or cause the airbag to tear.

2013–2017 NISSAN PATHFINDER

The stop lamp relay may stick in the ON position.

2020 NISSAN NAVARA

The steering knuckle bolts may not be sufficiently tightened, which can cause the steering knuckle, hub and the bearing assemblies to become detached. If the front knuckle bolts gradually loosen, vehicle occupants may experience noise and vibration. If the vehicle is driven in this condition, the four knuckle bolts may completely loosen, resulting in wheel detachment.

2012–2015 NISSAN INFINIT Q70

Due to improper material and dimensions, the fatigue strength of the propeller shaft is lower than expected and the propeller shaft may crack and detach.

2019–2020 NISSAN LEAF

The welded joint on the actuator plate may fail during use.

2019 NISSAN PATHFINDER

The CVT hose from the radiator to the oil warmer may have been installed in reverse orientation. Due to stress from straightening, the CVT oil hose may crack and leak. This can result in loss of power, fluid puddles under the vehicle or smoking when the CVT oil comes into contact with high temperature surfaces.

Vehicles have been manufactured with an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) actuator with an oil seal that may leak brake fluid internally.

In the rear oxygen sensor electrical short-to-ground or short-to-battery, the sensor fails, but a Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) or Engine Light warning does not illuminate.

If the electric water pump in the cooling system for the hybrid drive system fails, the warning lamp will be turned on and the water temperature may rise. If the vehicle continues to be driven in this condition, in an extreme case, the overheat protection control may operate and the engine and traction motor will stop.

Low battery at engine startup combined with parking while the wheels are turned, can cause a miscalculation in the steering ratio, which may lead to a lack of steering responsiveness and change in turning radius.

The satellite sensor for side curtain airbag in the B-Pillar may not have been installed correctly in some Nissan B17 Pulsar and C12 Pulsar vehicles. In extremely rare cases, the curtain airbag may deploy incorrectly.

2013 NISSAN R52 PATHFINDER

If the primary bonnet latch is not engaged, the secondary bonnet latch may not hold the bonnet closed as designed while the vehicle is in motion.

The gasket of the timing chain tensioner may have been manufactured out of specification causing an ineffective gasket seal for engine oil, which may result in a leakage of engine oil onto the road.

2013 NISSAN R52 Pathfinder

2012 NISSAN NISSAN J10 DUALIS and J10 DUALIS+2

The steering wheel boss, which is connected to the steering column, may not have the appropriate strength. If a load is applied to the steering wheel which is higher than the load applied during normal steering operation, the boss may separate from the steering column.

The fuel pressure sensor of some vehicles may be insufficiently tightened to the fuel rail, and may loosen gradually due to heat and vibration of the engine. In some cases, fuel leakage may occur between the fuel pressure sensor and the fuel rail.

2006–2013 NISSAN PATROL

Nissan has identified that due to lateral load on the accelerator pedal, the contact pressure of the sensor brush to a terminal on the circuit board of the subject sensor may deteriorate. As a result, the engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) will illuminate, and the vehicle could go into the fail-safe mode, which would cause the accelerator operation control to limit vehicle acceleration. In extreme cases when the engine is idling or the vehicle is coming to a halt, air intake may become insufficient and the engine may stop running.

The bulkhead lower front insulator may warp and so the clearance to the turbocharger becomes insufficient.

A concern affecting the intelligent power distribution module (IPDM) relay has been identified. There is a possibility that the ignition relay contacts in the IPDM may become contaminated with a build up of silicon oxide due to silicon evaporating from the relay diode. This can lead to poor conduction at the relay contacts.

0 NISSAN D40 Navara, R51 Pathfinder

A concern has been detected relating to the installation of heavy 'Steel bull bars' and accessory devices such as winches being fitted to the front of these European models. In high speed driving application on corrugated road surface there is a possibility of increased vibration frequency causing the hood striker loop to separate from the hood causing subsequent damage to the hood latch assembly. If this occurs, it can result in the hood not being securely latched and the possibility of the hood opening unexpectedly while driving.

0 NISSAN J32 Maxima

A concern has been detected relating to the incorrect routing of the curtain air bag strap. If the curtain air bag was to be deployed, the air bag strap may cause displacement of A-pillar inner trim. This concern was found by Nissan Motor Company Japan during side impact testing however at this stage we have no reported cases of this incident in Australia.

A concern has been detected relating to the cover screw securing the pinion shaft of the steering gear to the gear housing which may loosen and cause noisy steering operation. In the worst case scenario the cover screw may eventually come out which would result in a loss of steering control.

A concern has been identified on the Relay Box Bracket for some D40 Navara vehicles with Non ABS specification. The Relay Box Bracket for D40 Navara with ABS specifiction has been assembled in Non ABS vehicles. This concern could cause interference between the Relay Box Bracket and a rear brake pipe in the engine compartment. It could result in a potential brake pipe wear and consequently a risk of poor brake performance.

A concern has been identified on the Relay Box Bracket for some D40 Navara vehicles with Non ABS specification. The Relay Box Bracket for D40 Navara with ABS specifiction has been assembled in Non ABS vehicles. R0511: In the enent of certain frontal collisions, the Outer Rear Seat Belt webbing can contact the Rear Seat Back Hinge, and there is a possibility it can be cut by the sharp edge of the metal portion of the hinge. If the webbing is completely severed, it can increase the risk of injury to an occupant in a collision. R0516: In the event the front tyre runs over a sharp object and propels in towards the rear of the vehicle, it can potentially strike the front lower edge of the fuel tank, thus damaging it.

Owing to a possible combination of causes of the spot welding condition, the spot welds between the hood lock support and the hood inner panel may separate. If the vehicle is driven without awareness of the unlatched hood lock, the hood may open unexpectedly while driving.

Heat deterioration may occur inside of the Catalytic Converter when it is repeatedly attacked by excessively high thermal load. This could result in Breakage of the Catalytic Converter honeycomb. The weld zone of the O2 Sensor Boss (physically part of the exhaust manifold) may be damaged. If the vehicle is not repaired and driving continues, the O2 Sensor Boss may be broken.

0 NISSAN T30 X-Trail

The fitment of the ASCD accessory has been found to be subject to a number of fitment quality issues, the most severe of which may result in the vehicle throttle cable becoming stuck. If this cable becomes stuck, the vehicle throttle may then become unresponsive.

The hose on the distributor which ventilates ozone may be squeezed by the high-tension cable, causing a lack of ventilation. The insides oxidize, possibly resulting in engine instability, illumination of the malfunction indicator light (MIL), engine stall.

The circuit board for the crank position sensors may have an improper solder joint due to solder deformation caused by heat stress accelerated by the existence of flux residue during the soldering process. This could cause the 'service engine soon' warning to appear.
